We had SO MUCH FUN at church today.
How do you explain Christmas to a bunch of kids under seven years old? Hold a birthday party!

Party hats, prayer, praise and worship sing-a-long videos with the songs Joy to the World and And You Love Me, Bible stories, got to touch gold, frankincense and myrrh, a puppet show reenactment, sang Happy Birthday, decorated our own cupcakes, found the star hidden inside of apples, King's Kidz rehearsal, musical chairs (where instead of being "out" we sat on each others laps until there was one chair with piled with many children spilling onto the floor), and goodie bags with noisemakers.
Also inside the goodie bags are a couple of tithe/offering envelopes just for kids (we have plenty if you need some), and a copy of the lyrics to Father of Lights, the song the children will sing on February 28.
Fourteen kids (plus two itty bitty visitors) plus our volunteer staff for today:
Miss Erika
Miss Jessica (King's Kidz music leader)
Miss Kim
Miss Simone
Mister Clayton
and special thanks to Miss Detris and Mister Festus who supplied many of our party supplies, Miss Kim for cupcakes and apples, and Ms Jeri for our puppets and other educational materials.
