NUT-FREE
We have at least two children with severe nut allergies, so we are a nut-free snack zone. Because of such, we choose brand specific items that do not process nuts in their plants.
Please read labels carefully to make sure the products are nut free. This includes labels that read “May contain traces of peanuts or tree nuts” or “processed in a facility that processes products that contain peanuts or tree nuts.”
Manufacturers often change food labels, ingredients and processing procedures over time, so always read the label each time before purchasing snacks.
We made a committment to serving the children healthy snacks. Therefore, we keep sugar laden items to a minimum. In fact, we traditionally only serve a special treat, [nut-free] cupcakes, during the Birthday Party for Jesus in December.
